An Analysis on the Awareness Condition of Long-Term Care Grading Evaluation Committee and on Factors to Influence on the Activity Satisfaction

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate current tendencies of long-term care grading evaluation committee and the activity satisfaction of the grading committee for better improvement of the committee. So, This study conducted a survey of long-term care grading evaluation committee for members of committee and staffs of NHIS (National Health Insurance Service). The contents of the analysis are the factors affecting the grading committee 's operation, the satisfaction with committee activities, the satisfaction with committee activities by region, the satisfaction with committee activities. The results of the study were as follows: first, the grading evaluation committee was generally operated fairly, but there was a discrepancy between the committee and the staff of NHIS. Second, the satisfaction level of members of committee was generally high, but there was a difference in activity satisfaction by the region between the committee members and the staff of NHIS. Third, It was necessary to strengthen the expertise of the grading evaluation committee members and the process check of a committee meeting. Also, it was necessary to prepare the committee to reorganize the functions of the committee based on the revision of the new grade rating system. Based on the results of the analysis, this study suggested policy implications for the improvement of long-term care grading evaluation committee for long-term care insurance for the elderly and the user.
